Temburong Ready For Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan - Preparations for His Majesty's 59th birthday celebrations are in full swing in all corners of the Temburong District.

In the Bangar town, government offices, commercial buildings and residential houses are all decorated with the national flag, congratulatory banners and colourful neon lights.

Several congratulatory arches have also been erected at several strategic locations in the town area.

The ceremony of Bersama Rakyat for the Temburong District will be held on July 21 at the field of the Kompleks Dewan Kemasyarakatan.

Several events have also been lined up to mark the auspicious occasion such as cultural performances like musical dramas and traditional dances to be presented by the local ethnic groups such as Malay, Lun Bawang and Iban.

According to Ampuan Hj Salleh Hj Judah, Chairman of the River Regatta, the boat race which is divided into categories of big horsepower and ordinary boat will be held on July 24.
