75 New Muslim Converts In Belait District This Year

Kuala Belait - The Belait District Dakwah Islamiah Centre recorded a total of 75 new Muslim converts in the district from early this year till now.

This was said by Belait District Chief Religious Officer, Pg Hj Yunus bin Pg Hj Mohd Salleh, as chief guest in a ceremony to witness and celebrate the conversion of four members of an Than family to Islam yesterday morning.

The ceremony marked the official conversion of Dayang BuyutAnak Won, 32,

now known as Norhanie Jasmin; Dayang' Bejan Anak Won,30, now known as Nursyaza Khai Runisa; Dayang Rulhasidah binte Radio,18, now known as Rashidah and'Dayang Serian Anak Kujat,37, now known as Siti Serriani. ,

The ceremony began with welcoming remarks by Belait District Chief Dakwah Unit, Hjh Hanisah binte Abdullah, followed by a speech by the Chief Guest, who urged the new converts to ponder and expand their knowledge on Islam and its duties.
