Diplomatic Ties With Venezuela

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have decided to establish diplomatic relations with effect from July 13 this year.

The signing of the Joint Communique took place at the office of Permanent Representative of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations, New York.

The Government of His Majesty was represented by Haji Shofry Haji Abdul Ghafor, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations, New York, while the Government of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was represented by William Izarra, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, Middle East and Oceania of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
