Closing ceremony for KACA project with volunteers from UK

The closing ceremony for a three-day community service project at KACA Centre in Kiulap took place yesterday with its members and 17 volunteers from Bedford Modern School, Combined Cadet Force, UK, who were led by Captain Brian Simpson.

Present as the event's guest of honour was President of KACA Centre, Dato Paduka Hj Zainal Hj Momin. Also in attendance was its Managing Director, Hj Abd Alim Hj Othman.

The guest of honour presented certificates to all the volunteers in appreciation of their spirit, hard work and contributions.

On behalf of the volunteers, Captain Brian Simpson then handed over a B$2,400 cheque as their donation to the centre.
