Nebosh International General
Certificates Given Away At Megamas
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Thirteen participants were awarded their certificates
for the NEBOSH International General Certificate by Dr Stephen
Vickers, the Chief Executive for NEBOSH, yesterday.
The training was delivered at Megamas
by Colin Preston of CMTC over a ten-day period in December 2004.
NEBOSH
is the awarding body for the prestigious award. The certificate
presentation ceremony marked the first occasion that the NEBOSH
International General Certificate programme had been run in
SoutheastAsia. The programme was seen a landmark in setting new
standards in safety training.
"We are very pleased that our course
is being seen as a valuable addition to the training available in the
region, and I congratulate the delegates on their success and wish
them well in their safety careers," said Dr Vickers in his speech at
the ceremony.
"This qualification can help ensure
that truly competent people can assist companies and indeed nations
such as Brunei to raise the overall safety standards."
Dr Vickers also paid tribute to
Megamas, saying, "We (NEBOSH) know Megamas are the best."
He emphasised that Megamas
demonstrated this by providing training with the highest recognised
international standards.
Accompanying Dr Stephen Vickers was
Mr Darby Allan, Business Development Manager for CMTC. CMTC
International is a division of Woodland Grange, one of the top safety
training companies in the UK. --
