Student Make St. John’s Proud

Bandar Seri Begawan - Mohd Ayyub Bin Hj Kamaluddin from St. John's School recently made the school proud by emerging as the gold medal winner in the national level Secondary School Science Olympiad, a national event organised by the Ministry of Education, STEP and Brunei Shell Petroleum.

Mohd Ayyub successfully surpassed other participants from all secondary schools in Brunei by excelling in the preliminary written examination and later the theoretical Paper 1, Paper 2 and a three-hour practical examination at the final.

Along with other three top achievers, the awards were presented at a special function at Radio Television Brunei (RTB) in Bandar on June 21.

Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Bin Pg Hj Abd Rahman, Deputy Minister of Education, gave away the awards to the winners.

Ayyub will represent Brunei in the International Science Olympiad to be held in Bali (Indonesia) in September this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
