RBAF Holds Al Quran Reading Competition At Berakas Garrison

Bandar Seri Begawan - The finals of the Al-Qurar reading competition at Berakas Garrison level were held yesterday morning at the Beiakas Garrison surau.

The male category was won by 16176 Sld (U) Asriwendey bin Hj Abd Majid, followed by 14422 LKpl (U) Hj Umardani bin Hj Jalauddin in second place, and 1682 Sld Md Harun Al-Rashid bin Hj Md Hussin in third.

In the female category, 684 Lt Nuran Husna bte Hj Aziz won first place, followed by Nur Mahfuzah binti Hamzah in second.

The guest of honour for the event was Col. Pg Hj Rosli bin Pg Hj Chuchu, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).

Also in attendance were Senior Military Officers and other ranks of the RBAF. The guest of honour was later on hand to present the prizes to the winners. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
