Sony Puts Incredible Sight And Sound Surround In A Container

Bandar Seri Begawan – Vibrations of good quality sight and sound system enveloped members of the public, who sat through a 30-minute experience inside the ‘Sony Wega Theather on Wheels’ container yesterday in Brunei – the first Southeast Asian country to experience this special treat.

Gracing the event held at the Setia Kenangan Complex in Kiulap was Dato Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mohiddin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The 40-feet sound-proof high-cube container with its in-built sound system theatre worth $7,876 was built in Singapore.

It has a similar concept of that of cinema with an LCD built-in, complete with Sony accessories and cutting edge technology.

The three-day event, which runs until August 1 and is open between 11am and 9pm, has lined up numerous activities including the introduction of Sony’s latest products and a mini exhibition where visitors are given tips on how to maximise the use of Sony Digital products.

Another special treat for visitors is the special offers of selected latest Sony sound systems and products available during the roadshow, such as camera, video-cam, projector and plasma flat TV.

Organising this new innovative event is Multitrons Sdn Bhd, Sony sole distributor in the country, which is supported by Archipelago Express Sdn Bhd, Cityneon Brunei, Adison Marketing Services, BruDirect.Com and DelCol mineral water.

Members of the public are invited to experience free of charge 30 minute demo of various movies inside the Sony Wega Theatre on Wheels container, which can accommodate 12 to 15 persons at a time.
