Grinham Sisters Vie For Honours In
International Squash Semis

Begawan - World No.2 Rachael Grinham and her younger sister
world No.5 Natalie Grinham will resume their rivalry in the glass
court of Brunei when they meet each other in the semifinals of the
Brunei International Squash Women's Open 2004 at the National Squash
Centre in Jalan Berakas today.
The high profile match-up should be
one of the most exciting and exhilarating semifinal games that Brunei
as well as the international squash circuit has ever witnessed.
Rachael Grinham will be looking to
avenge her loss to her younger sister in the WISPA World Grand Prix
finals last April.
Both sisters have easy wins in the
quarterfinals. Natalie easily beat Jenny Tranfield 9-2, 9-0, 9-0 in 18
minutes while Rachael crushed Rebecca Macree 9-3, 9-0, 9-0 in 25
minutes.
In the other quarterfinal games,
world No. 7 Linda Elriani pulled off an upset win by defeating world
no. 6 Fiona Geaves 9-2, 9-1, 9-3 in 28 minutes.
Linda will meet Vanessa Atkinson in
the other semifinal as the world.No.2 was able to edge Malaysia and
Asian No I Nicol David in straight sets 9-5, 9-3, 9-5.
The semifinals will start at 4.30pm
today at the National Squash Centre. --
