DPMM FC To Take On AH United Today
By Dannie Abu Basrah
Bandar Seri
Begawan - All the top three teams in the Premier 1 of the Shell
Helix B-League 2004 will be in action today where at the Penanjong
Camp field in Tutong, ABDB will face Sengkurong FC and at the Jerudong
Mini Stadium, DPMM FC will host AH United.
Both games are scheduled to start at
4pm.
The "Army Boys", ABDB currently in
third will certainly be expecting to get back to winning ways and
close the gap at the top of the Premier 1 table after that 5-2
humbling by DPMM FC when they host visitors Sengkurong FC who are
currently at the bottom with only three points collected out of the
eight games played so far.
In the previous match, ABDB started
brightly against DPMM FC, taking a 2-1 lead before half time. But the
two quick goals from the host in the second half were enough to see
off ABDB's challenge as DPMM FC magnificently controlled most of the
game eventually winning the battle 5-2.
Meanwhile at the Jerudong Mini
Stadium, it will be an explosive encounter and could possibly be one
of the best games of the season when league leaders DPMM FC host
visitors, AH United who are currently second in the table trailing by
five points.
AH United seems to be the only team
left capable of halting DPMM FC's winning streak.
In last season's encounter, AH United
were the better team in the first round of the group A match defeating
DPMM FC 2-1. But DPMM FC got their revenge thrashing AH United 4-1 in
the second round.
According to sources, ex-national
team dangerman, Brian Iman Abdullah has signed up to play for AH
United but DPMM FC also have their own secret weapon in Oluseye Ajayi
who is still leading the top scorers list, scoring twice in every game
he has played so far. --
