Kalimantan Delegation On Official Visit Here

Bandar Seri Begawan - Haji Asmawi Agani, Governor of Central Kalimantan, along with a delegation of 60 people including the District Ruler, the Head of Police, and businessmen arrived here for an official visit on Wednesday.

The visit aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and ties in various fields including agriculture, industry, trade and investment, transportation, forestry as well as art and culture.

Tonight, the group is going to attend a dinner hosted by the High Commissioner of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei, Mr Yusbar Djamil, at the Indonesian Embassy in the capital.

The High Commissioner hopes that the visit of the Central Kalimantan governor and delegation will further strengthen the existing good working relationship between Kalimantan and Brunei that has been established through the BIMP-EAGA.

Yesterday morning, Governor Haji Asmawi Agani paid a visit to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Idris.

A business meeting was also held between the delegates who represented the Central Kalimantan Chamber of Commerce and members of the Brunei Darussalam Chamber of Commerce to discuss business opportunities in the sultanate.
