By Lyna Mohamad

Bandar Seri Begawan - Pehin Dato Paduka Awg Hj Suyoi, Deputy Minister of Education, disclosed that providing professional and skilled human resources are the main agenda as undeveloped and unproductive human resources would lead the country to suffer loss and weak investment.

Speaking at the launch of the four joint venture companies of BSP, BLNG, BST and BSM Career Exhibition, he added that the higher the number of unemployed youth, the more losses the government would suffer.

Issues of unemployment either due to economy or voluntary is a national problem that needs serious attention and must be tackling by all parties, making solid efforts through appropriate plans and programmes. Such plans should be holistic and coincides with the objectives of the future development of the nation.

Relevant agencies must be involved, as the responsibilities to train and guide professional manpower cannot be endured by government agencies alone as professional human resources are needed by both government and private sectors.

The Deputy Minister noted that activities such as yesterday displays the continuous commitment and efforts of the four joint venture companies in providing latest information on their development and needs in human resources especially to graduates who have the interest to join relevant companies that suits their skills and qualifications.

The exhibition, which was launched by the Deputy Minister yesterday at the Centrepoint Hotel, is the largest recruitment campaign undertaken by the four joint venture companies this year in addition to the various roadshows held in schools nationwide since early this year.
