Religious Teachers Take Part In Resam Uthmani Al-Quran Reading

Temburong – A course on Quran reading accuracy and literacy using Resam Uthmani was held in the Temburong District yesterday.

The course was conducted in an effort to enhance the knowledge and understanding among religious teachers in the Quran-reading accuracy and literacy using the Resam Uthmani method.

Resam Uthmani is a method of writing and spelling the holy verses. It was created during the reign of Sayiddina Uthman bin Affan, and is far more easily understood and readable, including the vocal signs.

Old printing of the Al-Quran is mainly using the Resam Im-la-ee originating from Pakistan and India whereas the new publications of the Mushaf are using the Resan Uthmani. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
