Sarawak paddlers champions

BINTULU
- Sarawak were the champions in the inaugural Sarawak-Sabah-Labuan-Brunei
Veteran Table Tennis Championship which ended here on Sunday.
The two-day championship, organised
by Bintulu Ping Pong Association was divided into two categories - men
aged 56 and above and aged 45-55 while the women category was for
those 40 above.
Brunei were represented by eight
paddlers and among them was Choo Sin Fatt from Kuala Belait.
Sin Fatt, aged 67, was the oldest
player in the championship. He had won in the Borneo Cup Table Tennis
for the 60-above age group in Bandar Seri Begawan in 2002.
He secured the third placing after
losing to Chai Jian Kuet from Samarahan Division, Sarawak.
Another Bruneian, Abdul Kadir from
Bandar Seri Begawan, aged 58, lost in the first round.
Goh
Tze Hua of Kuching won the women category while Ling Tiink Sik of
Samarahan Division won the 45-55 years old category.
