Shell Helix B-League Back In
Action On Aug 1

Begawan - The FA Cup for the Shell Helix B-League 2004 will be
back in action for its third season next month where eight new clubs
will join the fray in this year's prestigious competition.
The eight new clubs are Majra FC,
BLNG FC, Plan Batu FC, KPPSK, IKLS FC, Gunners FC, Sg Buloh FC and
Besa FC.
The first round of the FA Cup
competition will commence on Sunday, August 1, where four matches will
be played among the new eight teams where only four will qualify to
play in the second round against last year's new comers.
They are KTM FC, Peninjau FC,
Menglait FC, Arena FC, March FC, Perka, Muara Vella FC, Perkasa, Viva
Rangers, Muara Star FC, RBA and Star Utd.
Only one round two matches will be
played on August 2 and the remaining seven a week later between August
8 and 10.
Meanwhile, all the other `big boys',
a total of 24 teams from Premier I and Premier 2 will start playing
their games in the third round, including the eight teams who have
qualified from the second round, making up a total of 32 teams for
round three of the competition.
Last season's FA Cup saw a total of
172 goals scored in 43 matches with Mohammad Shah Razen Said of AH
United winning the golden boot award with nine goals.
The FA Cup champions last year were
ABDB after defeating Kota Ranger 3-0 in the final. ABDB's Saipul Rizal
bin Abdullah was awarded the "Man of the Match" award. --
