JTB Announces Telephone Service Interruption

Bandar Seri Begawan - Jabatan Telekom Brunei (JTB) informed all its valued customers that as part of the company's continuous effort to improve the telecommunications service in the country, JTB is currently replacing in phases the existing telephone systems with the next generation of network system.

With effect from midnight today, JTB will be carrying out a system cut-over at Junjungan and Masin areas.

The cut-over would affect customers with telephone numbers beginning with 264XXXX, 2680XXX and 2681XXX.

In the press release, JTB also advised all its customers that there would be some service interruptions during the cut-over period until work is completed.

In this regard, JTB said it would like to apologise to all its valued customers for any inconveniences caused. Customers are advised to contact "111" for any enquiries. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
