The Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park was
yesterday honoured to have a royal visitor to the park. Her Royal
Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah was welcomed on
arrival at the park by the Acting Tutong District Officer, Awg Mutalib
bin Hj Md Idris, the Director of Museums, Awg Hj Metassim bin Hj Jibah
and other senior government officers.
A welcoming speech was presented by
Museums Director Awg Hj Matassim, while the Manager of the Tasek
Merimbun Heritage Park, Awg Samhan bin Nyawa was on hand to give a
presentation on the park.
Among the aims of HRH's visit to the
park was to conduct interviews with residents who live around Tasek
Merimbun as part of HRH's current academic research study, whilst at
the same time gathering information regarding the effects of
eco-tourism at the heritage park on the local community there.
