Teachers complete counselling course

A closing ceremony was held yesterday afternoon for the 2nd phase of a counselling activity course at the multipurpose hall of Pg Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School in Gadong.

A total of 105 participants comprising counselling teachers from around the country as well as primary school teachers from areas Brunei I to IV participated in the course.

Yesterday's counselling course, organised by Pg Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School, was a follow-up and a closing to the introductory phase which was held on July 21.

The course was delivered by Cikgu Ali Yusri bin Abd Ghapur from the Counselling and Career Guidance Unit, and aimed to increase awareness and knowledge of participants on the importance of counselling, as well as to train and improve their communication and counselling skills.

Present as the guest of honour for the closing ceremony was Cikgu Awang Metassim bin Haji Duraman, Senior Education Officer, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.

Also present were the principal of Pg Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School, Cikgu Abdul Rahim bin Hj Budin, the deputy principal, teachers as well as participants.
