Slippery Road Causes Twin Accidents Along Jerudong Highway

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two separate accidents occurred along the Jerudong highway yesterday morning.

The first accident occurred along KM 42 at approximately 7.30 am. The driver of a car suddenly lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions as it was raining heavily, causing the car to skid into the middle of the road. The car collided with several other cars.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. The accident caused a heavy traffic jam for road users heading from Kuala Belait to Bandar Seri Begawan.

The second accident occurred along KM 83, about five kilometres from the first accident site on the opposite lane.

A car, which was heading towards Bandar Seri Begawan from Kuala Belait collided with another car and both vehicles sustained damages. No injuries were reported from the second accident which occurred at 7 am yesterday. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
