Teachers’ battle in court

Begawan - The official opening of the 2004 NonGovernment
Teachers Inter-School Badminton Tournament took place at the
auditorium of the PAPHRSB Nursing College yesterday. This year's
tournament - hosted by the St George's School - is the tenth to be
organised and features 22 teams vying for honours. I
The competing schools are Chung Hwa
of Bandar Seri Begawan; MOE Counselling; St Andrew's; Tadika Jaya;
Yayasan; MOE; Nusa Laila Puteri; PDS; PGGMB; St George's; Freda Radin;
Jigsaw International; Jigsaw Primary; Chung Ching School;
Pertama;
IQRA; Sunshine; Tangga Gemilang; St Angela's; Luqman Darussa.lam; St
Michael; and Chung Hwa of Tutong.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary 3 at
the Ministry of Education, Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah, did the honours
in opening the tournament. Two games were played soon after the
opening ceremony yesterday - the Chung Hwa School of Bandar Seri
Begawan took on the Yayasan School in the Men's and Women's Doubles
matches.
Also present at the ceremony were the
Director of Schools, Dyg Apsah binti Hj Abd Majid; the Director of
Schools Inspectorate, Dr. Hj Mahali bin Hj Momin: as well as senior
government and school officials. --
