hosted it for the second time. The first was the 14th Congress of FAPA
in 1994.
The countries that participated in
the congress were Taiwan, Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam,
Switzerland, Indonesia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the
Philippines. There were more than 80 participants from host country,
Brunei Darussalam.
The delegation from Taiwan sent the

They comprised of professional and amateur photographers.

the visit to Brunei places of interests like the Water village, Malay
Technology Museum, Cultural Show, Asia Photo Exhibition and Grand
Colourful Photographic Outing "Bersama Rakyat" in Jerudong.
The Grand outing "Bersama Rakyat" was
one of the highlights of the congress that gave the opportunity to
congress participants to capture the lively cultures and tradition of
the country.
They had a closer look at His Majesty
the Sultan and members of the Royal families during the get-together
with the subjects.
The July 16-20 congress was chosen to
coincide with His Majesty's 58th Birthday celebration when Brunei was
full of colours, cultures and ceremonies.
As the saying goes, a picture tells a
thousand words and these photographers brought home many sweet
memories full of joy and experience to be shared with the rest of the
world and, at the same time, helped to promote and boost the country
tourism industry, said Cheong Huat Seng, Secretary General of the
Brunei Photographic Society. --
