DPMM FC To Host ABDB In Shell Helix B-League
By Dannie Abu Basrah

Bandar Seri Begawan - Three exciting matches in the Shell Helix B-League 2004 Premier 1 will be played on Sunday and two more on Monday.

The highlight would surely be the one played at the Jerudong Mini Stadium at 4pm where runaway leaders DPMM FC will host third-placed ABDB who are eight points behind DPMM FC.

ABDB lost the chance to collect all three points at the :very last minute against AH United after Fadlin Galawat cancelled out Md Saidi's 25th minute goal right on the 90th minute.

DPMM FC being the unstoppable force, it was business as usual when they hammered Indera FC 6-0 at the Jabatan Belia and Sukan field with their prolific striker, Oluseye Ajayi scoring twice on that night which seems to be the average goals he scores in every game.

Two evening matches will be played where sixth-placedWijaya FC will take on fourth-placed Indera FC at the Belapan field and at the JBS field, Kota Ranger currently second from bottom will meet second from top AH United.

Wijaya FC is not having the kind of form that saw them become champions last season where inconsistency seems to be the main problem this season. They won their previous match 3-1 against Kasuka FC coming back from a 1-3 defeat to AH United.

Indera FC lost 6-0 to DPMM FC despite putting up a terrific performance and a solid defence in the early minutes but the DPMM FC offence pressure seemed hard to control as the game progressed towards the end.

Kota Ranger lost 2-1 to Sengkurong FC in their previous match and AH United were lucky enough to snatch a point against ABDB scoring in the final minute. Both teams will be looking forward to the match with the hope of getting back into winning ways.

On Monday, two more exciting games will be featured. At the JBS field Kasuka FC will take on QAF FC and Jerudong FC will play Sengkurong FC at the Belapan field.

Kasuka FC lost 3-1 to Wijaya FC in their previous match while QAF FC game against Sengkurong FC had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Jerudong FC currently in fifth position will be hoping to get a second straight win after their 2-1 win over Kota Ranger at the Jabatan Belia and Sukan field while Sengkurong FC who have not won a single game yet so far will surely not make it easy for Jerudong FC who themselves also needed the points. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
