PPKB Optimistic Over Malaysia’s Statement On Oil Dispute

Bandar Seri Begawan - Parti Perpaduan Kebangsaan Brunei (PPKB) has welcomed the statement made by Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, on the unresolved offshore oil issue.

Dr Hj Mohd Hatta bin Hj Zainal Abidin, the party president, said the party hoped the issue can be resolved when leaders of both countries meet next September.

The preparedness of the Malaysian government to resolve the offshore oil issue when leaders of both nations meet and officially discuss the issue is an effort and move which have been waited by the population of both nations, he said.

"The readiness of leaders from both nations to find solution to the issue based on win-win formula is a good effort by the two neighbouring nations," he said.

He said his party will provide support for the efforts by the government in resolving the issue which should be done professionally and cleverly. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
