Don’t Be Copycats Look For Something New Brunei Businessmen Told

Bandar Seri Begawan – Be creative and look for something new, Brunei businessmen were advised yesterday.

Through market survey, business people can be well-informed about the demands of products they are marketing.

They could this way avoid venturing into a business that has already saturated the market and ended up with fewer customers.

The suggestion was made by the Deputy Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Awang Haji Suyoi, when he opened the Aman Complex in the Brunei-Muara District yesterday.

He noted that consumer taste and their shopping habits have become more sophisticated.

With customer mobility and better transportation facilities, he said they now have more choices of places for shopping and a wider selection of quality products.

For developers, the Deputy Minister said they must be able to provide better and modern infrastructure for commercial complexes.

It has become a trend for the local community to travel to neighbouring states to spend their money, and such habit has a big impact on the local economy.

But Pehin Dato Awang Haji Suyoi said they cannot be blamed because consumers always wanted the best value for money. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
