Reared Dogs Frighten Chempaka Park

Bandar Seri
Begawan - An accommodation in a housing estate in Chempaka
Park, Jalan Tutong has become a centre of controversy as the
neighbours alleged its occupants are rearing several huge and
frightening dogs.
They said the dogs are kept inside
the house most of the time but are released out of the house a few
times a day.
A few days ago, one of the dogs
approached a neighbour cleaning a vehicle. "I was cleaning a vehicle
when one of the dogs fiercely charged at me and raised its forelegs.
"It did not bite me but the claws
scratched my leg," said a girl.
Most of the neighbours do not want to
go outside the house when the owner leads the dogs to one part of the
housing area so the dogs can answer the call of nature.
"Their faeces are everywhere at the
compound in front of our houses.
"I hope the owner would be sporting
enough not to dirty our area which is some distance away from her
house.
"If the owner would not stop doing
that then I would file a complaint to the relevant authorities in the
near future," said a neighbour. --
