For Italian food lovers, all Fratini's outlets throughout Brunei would be offering a 50 per cent discount on its a la carte pasta and pizza in conjunction with His Majesty's 58th birthday celebration, and to commemorate its 8th anniversary.

The discount offer would run for two weeks, from Monday, July 12 to Sunday, July 25.

Customers dining in the Italian restaurant's Kuala Belait, Jalan Muara and Centrepoint outlets can avail of the discount from 12 noon to 6 pm. Diners at its Yayasan Shopping Complex outlet can get the discount from 6 pm to 10 pm.

The restaurant's executive chef from Southern Italy, Maurizio Intrigila, announced that next month, the restaurant would have a food promotion on its salmon dishes such as the 'Zuppa di salmone' (salmon and corn chowder based with spring onions, snow peas and beef rashes), 'Spaghetti al pesto di basilica e bocconcini di salmone' (Spaghetti pasta tossed with home made basil sauce and crispy diced salmon) and more.

The food promotion would be held on a monthly basis, he added.

Chef Maurizio would also be introducing changes on its signature dishes every six months. His current popular signature dishes are the 'Pappardella dello zar' (home made Tuscan ribbon pasta tossed with caviar, garlic, parsley and smoked salmon in a creamy and saffron sauce served with green salad tossed in French dressing) and the 'Sella di agnello1 al profumo di Sicilia' (oven baked rack of lamb served with citrus syrup and lamb marinated with rosemary and garlic served with market vegetables and potatoes of the day).

For a quick lunch, Fratini's has a list of dishes guaranteed to be served in five to ten minutes. The "Business Lunch Menu" comprising carte du jour such as 'Carpaccio di salmone con mozzarella e calamari fritti' (Smoked salmon carpaccio with deep fried squid and fresh mozzarella cheese', 'Crostini con spumoni di melanzane e gamberoni al vapore' (Farm toasted bread with eggplant mouse topped with steamed prawns) and many more.

Chef Maurizio assured customers they would experience the flavour and taste of Italian food without actually being in Italy. Fratini's vows to bring the best quality of Italian dish to its Bruneian customers by importing most of its herbs and ingredients.
