B-League To See Action From Ten
Matches This Weekend
By Dannie Abu Basrah
Bandar Seri
Begawan - It will be an action packed weekend in the Shell
Helix B-League 2004 where a total of 10 games will be featured from
Friday to Sunday.
It is a very tight race at the top of
the Premier 2 table as the top four teams are only separated by a
point while in Premier 1 the top five teams except for ABDB had won
their previous matches.
On Friday three Premier 1 and two
Premier 2 matches will be played where league leaders DPMM FC will
take on 5th place Jerudong FC at the Jerudong Mini Stadium at 4pm.
DPMM FC are still unbeaten.
In another Premier 1 match, 4th place
Indera FC will be up against 3rd place ABDB at the JBS Field where a
win could see them close the gap on DPMM FC.
At the Belapan field, 6th place
Wijaya FC will hope to improve their performance after conceding a
late equaliser in their previous match when they take on 2nd place AH
United.
AH United are on a high after
whipping Sengkurong FC 5-0 where Azmi Ahmad grabbed his first
hat-trick for the season.
The two Friday Premier 2 matches are
between Pesaka FC and Mengelella FC at the Penanjong Kern field and
Mulaut FC against P Akse at the Belapan field with both games starting
at 4pm.
Only one match will be played on
Saturday where NBT FC will take on Brunei Shell who has yet to win a
game since April.
On Sunday, four games will be
featured where IBM Bokok will take on Kilanas FC at the Batu Apoi
Sports Complex and at the Belapan Field Sabina FC will face Lun Bawang.
A win for Sabina FC will see them
take the top spot if Bandaran KB failed to secure all three points
when they take on Kamudi FC at Bandaran field.
At the JBS field, DST Group FC will
play against IB Pandan and a win could see them level on points with
Lun Bawang who are still superior on goal difference. --
