A night cruise along the streets of
Bandar or Gadong will allow motorists to take in the beauty of the
lights.

Group who conducted inspections to ensure the lights were up to
satisfaction.
The decorated street lights and
illuminated road arches around the capital this time of year is a
breath-taking sight marking His Majesty's birthday celebrations.
Long been a tradition, it appears
that with the passing of each year, the more colourful the streets
become.
This is all thanks to the Creative
Lightings Organising Committee whose members comprise high-ranking
government officers and renowned businessmen.
Certainly adding a special feel to
the celebratory mood, the lightings are said to be valued no less than
$300,000 - excluding installation.
To ensure lightings were up to
expectation, trips to both the capital and Gadong areas were made
Tuesday by committee members that included Head of ARH Holding Pehin
Dato Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Hapidz bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laksamana
Haji Awang Abdul Razak.
Also joining the tour was Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Dato Paduka Awg Hj Abd
Rahman bin Hj Mohidin.
With the involvement of the private
sector, decorations have certainly seen an improvement, transforming
the Sultanate into a picturesque city of lights.
