Talk on HRMS for officers of MoE

Some 40 senior officers from the
Ministry of Education and departments under it yesterday attended a
seminar on Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and its
significance to the Ministry of Education.
The talk was held at the Convention
Room of the Ministry of Education and was conducted by one local and
two Singaporean consultants from Wescot of ITIS Wescot Technology
Company, Wescot Office Automation & Trading Company and Wescot
Scientific & Products Company.
Organised
by the Public Service Department (JPA), the seminar was part of a
requirement study and aims to create awareness on the importance and
efficiency through the use of HRMS, update participants on the vision
and mission of the HRMS project and communicate upcoming HRMS
capabilities to participants for their own planning.
The seminar is also part of an effort
carried out by the department to thrive for an e-government.
The seminar will also be conducted
for all ministries in the country and a series of visits will be made
to various ministries throughout the week including the Ministry of
Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Communication.
