HSBC, BSP Ink Sponsorship Deal For LiveWire Awards

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) and the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) yesterday signed the Joint Sponsorship Agreement of LiveWIRE Awards 2004.

Hi Zainal Abidin Hj Md Ali, BSP Deputy Managing Director, signed on behalf of BSP.

HSBC was represented by Chief Executive Officer Marcus Hurry.

Witnessing the signing ceremony was Awg Hj Sheikh Adnan. Sheikh Muhammad Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education.

Live WIRE Awards 2004 sponsorships by BSP and HSBC show the commitment of both companies towards their corporate social responsibilities, demonstrated by the investment of their resources for the development of the local community, the younger generation in particular.

HSBC, under this agreement, is to contribute half of the total cost of the organisation of the Live WIRE Awards. The other half contributed by BSP and HSBC will also be for the promotion of the Awards and assistance in organising the event.

LiveWIRE's first Awards in 2001 were fully funded by BSP. The following year, HSBC becamet a joint sponsor.

This is the third year the bank has agreed to jointly sponsor the awards in cooperation with BSP. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
