Police Arrest Indonesian Call Girl

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 34-year-old Indonesian woman, who was offering services through the phone, was apprehended in a raid yesterday.

Ten officers from the Anti-Vice Unit, Criminal Investigation Department, Gadong Police Headquarters, raided a room following a public tip-off.

The modus operandi was successfully traced by a police officer pretending to be a customer.

He contacted the Indonesian woman through the phone and made an appointment for the service.

The arrest was made one week after the same unit caught an Indonesian dressmaker in Kg Mulaut, who had also offered services using mobile phones.

According to sources from the unit, the woman from Jawa Tengah had entered the country using the land route passing through the Sungai Tujoh Immigration Control Post, where she was granted a visit pass five months ago.

She managed to collect more than $1,000 from her services by charging $50 to $100 under the cover of an illegal massage service in several hotels in the capital, it was learnt.

Following the arrest, the police would like to thank those who cooperated with them in the arrest of the woman.
