Early Morning Blaze Destroys Container

Bandar Seri Begawan - A dual-function container used for storage and accommodation for foreign workers in Kg Ban Ampar, Jln Limau Manis caught fire around 4.45 am yesterday.

Fire service personnel from the Jerudong Fire station rushed to the scene to control the blaze.

According to one of the workers, he was still asleep inside the container when he was suddenly awaken by the heat from the fire. He was shocked to see that the blaze had completely destroyed his living quarters but was thankful to escape unhurt.

A single-storey house located nearby was unaffected by the early morning blaze as Fire Service personnel managed to put out the fire before it could spread.
