Police Comb Belait In Search Of Bandar Robbers

Kuala Belait - Police in Belait District yesterday resumed their search for a group of robbers on the run following a recent robbery in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Roadblocks were set up again yesterday in Kg Sungai Liang as police tried to prevent the robbers from escaping across the border.

The operation last weekend caused traffic jams along the roads leading to Kuala Belait as many travellers headed to the border.

A thorough search was carried out at the roadblocks as police checked on the drivers and passengers from early morning until at night.

Last Friday, the Royal Brunei Police Force launched massive roadblocks in a few strategic areas in the country, including the border at the Sungai Tujoh Immigration Control Post to catch the criminals involved in the recent robbery in the Brunei capital.
