60 Teachers Wind Up Math Workshop

Bandar Seri Begawan - The SEAMEO RECSAM-Brunei Sister School Project workshops for secondary school Mathematics teachers came to a close Friday with the presentation of certificates to 60 participants, in an event held at SEAMEO VOCTECH in Jln Gadong.

The project saw the collaboration between SEAMEO RECSAM, Penang, Malaysia, and the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.

The workshop on `Effective Teaching and Effective Learning Using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in secondary Mathematics' was attended by teachers from 20 secondary schools, three private schools, and officers from the Curriculum Department and Schools Inspectorate Department.

Present as guest of honour at the closing ceremony was Awang Jamal Hjai Kahar, Assistant Director of Secondary Schools, Department of Schools, and Ministry of Education who later presented the certificates. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
