Sultan Greets President Bush And Americans On Independence Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei sent a congratulatory message to His Excellency George W Bush, President of the United States of America, on the occasion of the Independence Day anniversary of USA.

In his message, His Majesty expressed confidence that the two countries have much to look forward to in further strengthening bilateral relations in all fields of mutual interest and common desire to promote peace and stability for the mutual benefit of the two countries and people.

His Majesty also hopes President Bush would always remain in good health, and for the people of USA to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, also sent a similar congratulatory message to Colin L Powell, Secretary of State of the United States of America.

The Prince sent his warmest congratulations to him and to the government and people of the United States of America on their Independence Day, and looks forward to continuing to work with him to strengthen the much valued friendship and cooperation.
