All Systems Go For Sultan’s 58th Birthday Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan – Preparations to mark His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei’s 58th birthday are progressing well as the celebration is less than two weeks away.

In Bandar Seri Begawan alone, the festive atmosphere for His Majesty's birthday can be felt as several colourful and decorative arches were built at various main roads showing a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming celebrations.

Decorated street lights and illuminated road arches were erected to attract more city goers during the celebration.

The improvement and an increase in the quality of lighting equipment had been made possible with the involvement of the private sectors.

Government and private buildings are also taking part in the preparation by installing decorated and colourful arches.

Posters have also been distributed to commemorate the royal birthday celebration, which portray colourful photos of the activities His Majesty carried out last year.

Meanwhile, the national flag hoisting would officially commence on July 8.
