By Rosli Abidin Yahya
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Members of local hip-hop group Kyodai said that they
will give their best during their gig at the Konsert Amal Urban Groove
2004, which will be held at the JPCC Amphitheatre tomorrow night.
Kyodai,
who will be a guest group at the concert, said that they would put on
a show to demonstrate that local performers have talent.
Formed just last year, Kyodai’s TJ,
Sasha, Nizul, Hisham and DJ Basit are destined to become big stars.
They have produced a number of popular songs that have been well
received by their fans.
Among the songs that the group has
played at various concerts are `Playing Dis Game' (Anding Dida Remix),
`Be With Me', `Living Peace (No To Drugs)', and `Da Mic Is On Fire' (Adai-Adai
Remix).
They pointed out that their fans have
encouraged them to produce an album.
"Please be patient with us. The album
will be released between July and August," they said.
Kyodai
has performed at a number of venues, including local Akademi Fantasia
concerts, RTB Award - Night, Talentime Contest, Merdekarama and
Gemerlapan in Kuala Belait during His Majesty's birthday celebration.
The group said that they hope to
perform in Malaysia in the near future, adding that they might be
collaborating with Ruffedge, Malaysia's top R&B, soul and hip-hop
group. --
