Health Products Offer Remedies To Insufficient Nutrients

Bandar Seri Begawan - Insufficient nutrients and an unbalanced diet can cause various diseases, which could have been prevented had the patients taken sufficient nutrients, an expert on nutrition science and alternative medicine said yesterday.

Dr. Gordon Pederson, PhD, Chief Nutritional Scientist of Viva Life Science, talked on `Discovering the Wonders of Nutraceuticals.'

He said most people believe they are taking a sufficient and balanced diet.

However, doctors have found that most patients who suffer from scurvy, heart disease, stress, dehydration, hereditary diseases or toxins had insufficient nutrients and an unbalanced diet.

Such diseases could have been prevented had the patients taken sufficient nutrients, he said.
