Bandar Seri Begawan – Forty-five more students interested in various sports enrolled at the Sports School yesterday.

The second new intake included first 12 girl students.

To qualify, they need to pass stamina tests conducted by the Department of Co-Curriculum.

They will also be required to undergo a health test conducted by the government's Health Centre.

The students are now staying in a hostel. Apart from attending sports activities, the students will also attend ordinary academic subjects at the Menglait Secondary School where they will study in Form One classes.

The Secretariat Unit of the Brunei Darussalam Sport Schools Council and the Training Unit of the Co-Curriculum Department are fully coordinating the training programme.

A student, who has been selected to undergo training in the soccer field, said that he will also be attending ordinary academic education in a normal school. This is besides his deep interest in the sport field.

For Awang Khairol Tinggal, golf can give him a lot of benefits.

Although busy with his training, he still has time to meet his family.
