All Asked To Fly Flags For Royal
Birthday Joy
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Preparations are in full swing throughout the country
for the forthcoming celebration of His Majesty Sultan of Brunei 58th
birthday celebration, which is less than two weeks away.
In conjunction with the celebration,
every one in the country is asked to hoist flags as from tomorrow
until July 31.
Pengirans
and those bestowed with titles should hoist their personal flag, while
the public should put up the national flag.
Meanwhile, a highlight of His
Majesty's 58th birthday celebration in the Temburong District this
year will be the nightly gerai perayaan or perayaan stalls.
According to Awang Abdul Salam the
chairman of the perayaan stalls, this year's stalls will be divided
into two categories, the wet and dry stalls.
Eight two applications have been
accepted this year and the works on erecting the stalls are going on
at an open area near the perayaan stage in the district.
This year's perayaan stalls will also
include a contest to choose the finest stall.
There will also be an area for
bouncers.
The public and stall operators are
reminded to drive with care while approaching the area where the
perayaan stalls are located.
The stalls will be in operation as
from July 15. -- Courtesy
