$25,400 Cash Donation For Royal Birthday Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan - The executive committee of His Majesty's 58th birthday celebration and the organising committee for the tug-of-war and cultural performance received a total of $25,400 contribution at the Brunei Muara District Office yesterday.

The total contribution from Pehin Lau Ah Kok was divided into two. Some $15,200 was contributed to the executive committee of His Majesty's birthday celebration while $10,200 went to the organising committee for the tug of war and cultural performance.

Yesterday's contribution of $10,200 was added on to his previous contribution of $8,000 to the tug of war and cultural performance for a total sum of $23,200.

On hand to receive the cheque from Pehin Lau Ah Kok was the Brunei Muara District Officer, Awang Haji Adnan Bin Haji Hanafiah.

In addition to Pehin Lau's contribution, 15 individuals contributed $36,350 to the tug of war and cultural performance for His Majesty's 58" birthday celebration.

They are Lee Eng Chin ($250), Wong Ming Shing ($1,000), Mr Chan Sui Kiat ($10,000), Wong Ming Han ($300), Soon Sheng Lee ($300), Mark Foo Hee ($300), Steven Ong ($1,200), Lau Sie Choung ($5,000), Tan Sing Loong ($1,000), Lim Pek Meng ($10,000), Mr. Lim Tiong Tin ($1,000), Lim Ting Huan ($500), Lim Ting Chai ($500) and Pehin Gob King Chin ($5,000). -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
