Foreigner Facing Theft Charges Remanded

Bandar Seri Begawan - A foreigner facing charges for theft of footwear was taken into remand at the Central Police Station in the capital following an order by the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Bahasa Jiwa Singh, 43, is charged with committing theft of two pair of shoes, a pairs of roller blades, boots, sandals and three pairs of slippers in a house in Kg Kianggeh.

Prosecuting Officer Pg Khairul Nizam preferred the defendant a second charge of having stolen a pair of sandals from another home also in the Kg Kianggeh area.

No plea was taken from the defendant pending further investigations.
