Chinese Help In His Majesty’s Birthday Celebrations

Bandar Seri Begawan – The nation will celebrate His Majesty Sultan of Brunei’s 58th birthday in two weeks time. More donations have been received for the festivities.

The latest contributions of $25,400 came from 15 Chinese enterprises.

The Executive Committee of the royal birthday celebration in the Brunei-Muara District received $15,200, whilst the Committees for the Tug of War and Cultural Performances received$10,200.

The donations were presented by Pehin Awang Lau Ah Kok representing the Chinese business community to the Brunei-Muara District Officer, Awang Haji Adnan bin Haji Hanafiah, who is also the chairman and advisor of both committees. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
