charges
By Malai FadleyRizal
A permanent resident was released on
bail of $2,000 or one local surety after he pleaded not guilty to two
charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the Magistrate's Court
yesterday.
Senior Magistrate Radin Safiee heard
that Armie bin Abdullah was arrested by officers from the Narcotics
Control Bureau (NCB) with another man on suspicion of carrying out
illegal drug activities at Kg Bolkiah 'A' in Kg Ayer.
NCB
Prosecuting officer Pg Rodziah told the court that when he was
apprehended, the suspect surrendered an apparatus believed to be used
to administer controlled drugs.
She added that Armie's urine sample
was taken and analysed while in custody and it tested positive for
'Ice'.
However he claimed trial yesterday to
the two charges against him.
A date for further mention was set on
December 3.
