Sporting tattoos painlessly
By Zureena Abdullah

Duan prepares a temporary tattoo for a
customer.
A genuine tattoo is a permanent
mark/design made on the body by the introduction of pigment through
ruptures in the skin.
Some individuals sport tattoos for
their belief that certain designs would provide magical protection
against sickness or misfortune, while others have tattoos to identify
their status or membership in a group. However, decoration is perhaps
the most common motive for tattooing.
At the festival currently being held
at the capital, cool temporary tattoos are available at one of the
many stalls.
According to stall owner Duan, the
tattoos he offers would last for quite a while, as the ink he uses is
the longest lasting temporary tattoo ink on the market today.
"The tattoo can last a week or so
depending or skin type," explained Duan, adding that applying powder
to it could prolong its longevity.
It was learnt that the ink is
non-toxic, hypoallergenic and internationally recognised. It is water
based, cosmetic grade and suitable for all age groups.
Customers can choose fancy designs
from the tattoo album, or they can come up with some of their own.
