Thai travel agents tour Brunei

A special dinner was held to welcome the eight contingents of Thailand Travel Agents at the Dynasty Restaurant, Gadong Centrepoint, on Wednesday evening.

Organised by the Royal Brunei Airlines and Golden Touch Holidays Sdn Bhd, the trip was meant for the travel agents to familiarise themselves with Brunei Darussalam and Island of Labuan as a package tour.

The Thai travel agents accommodation in Brunei were sponsored by Centrepoint Hotel and Sheraton Utama Hotel. While in Labuan, they will be staying at the Sheraton Labuan.

At the dinner, the travel agents were welcomed by RBA Director of Marketing, Awang Haji Omar Ali Bin Haji Mohd Daud.

The travel agents are from the several prominent Thai travel agencies, including Nancy Tour, KN Travel, Eight and Nine Travel, and Boeing Holidays.

Upon their arrival in Brunei on Wednesday morning, the group had the opportunity to visit Kampong Ayer (Water Village) and the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque. The travel agents were especially fascinated by the unique Kampong Ayer, also known as the 'Venice of the East'.

While visiting the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the travel agents were overwhelmed with the exquisite beauty and architecture of the mosque.

The 4-days/3-nights stay will also include a visit to Jerudong Park Medical Center, where the travel agents will be looking into opportunities for medical tourism in Brunei Darussalam.
