C'wealth photo competition

All Commonwealth residents who have a keen eye for photography are invited to enter an internationally acclaimed "2003/04 Commonwealth Photographic Awards" competition jointly organised by the Commonwealth Press Union (CPU) and Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA).
The rules and regulations require entrants to submit their entries in the form of colour or black and white photographs, preferably sized 8" x 12" (20cm x 30cm), with captions, of approximately 50 words long, depicting the photos in line with its theme "Celebration".
No entry form or fee is needed and entry is restricted to Commonwealth residents although photos may have been captured from anywhere in the world and each entry is subjected to one photograph.
Entrants must print their name, address, e-mail address, telephone and fax number on the back of the photograph and the organiser reserves the right to retain the photographs.
The sponsors will also not ask for exclusive copyright to use the photographs for purposes in connection with the competition.
Entrants will stand a chance of winning the grand prize of 2000 pounds sterling, cash prizes for regional winners and 20 runner-up prizes are also up for grabs.
Most of the winning photographs will have the honour of being featured in a television programme based on the awards, which will be broadcast in over 40 countries around the Commonwealth.
Ms. Soma Mallik from India was the first Indian woman to win the "2002/03 Commonwealth Photographic Awards".
The awards is proudly sponsored by the Commonwealth Foundation with additional support from the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisations.
Entries may be submitted to "Photo Awards, CBA, 17 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1AA, UK" and the closing date is July 18, 2003.
