Information Dept. holds Civics Course For Scholars

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Information Department under the Prime Minister's Office will be holding a three-day Civics Course beginning today for the undergraduates who meander the scholarship Program with the Government of Brand Darussalam and Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd. The 54 undergraduates, who are on holiday from Australia and New Zealand, Will among others be listening to talks by speakers from various govern cent agencies.

The topics will touch upon the National Administration Structure, the Brunei Vision 2035, the National Education System for the 2Ist Century (SPN21), Brunei's Adat istiadat Deviant Teachings. Aside from the talks, the participants will also have an opportunity to visit several government departments including the Health promotion Centre, the Ministry of health and the Brunei-Muara District office.

For a recreational program, the undergraduates will be brought to Bukit Tempayang Pisang guided by members of the Kapok Village Consultative Connell of mukim Serasa.

The main objectives of the course are to provide

the latest information On the government and country to the under-graduates, to until a sense of national patriotism based on the Malay, Islamic and Monarchy philosophy, as well as to provide a chance to discuss current issue with the speakers.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
