Options For Credit Card Holders
By Lyna Mohamad
Bandar Seri
Begawan - HSBC credit cardholders will now have greater
options in choosing their next travel destination as cardholders can
now convert their HSBC Reward Points to KrisFlyer Miles.

This
partnership between HSBC and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
programme was officially signed during a luncheon held at
The Rizqun International Hotel yesterday.
Present at the event were
Deputy Minister of Communications cum chief guest Dato
Paduka Awg Hj Yusof Hj Abd Hamid, HSBC CEO Tareq Muhmood,
Singapore Airlines General Manager (Brunei, Sabah and
Sarawak) Lim Thong Chuan.
Held to officially endorse
the partnership, the event also saw the attendance of
members from the senior management of HSBC and Singapore
Airlines.

In his welcoming speech,
Mr Muhmood noted that across Asia, from Taiwan to
Thailand, the partnership between HSBC and Singapore
Airlines has already experienced huge success and that
they expect the same level of success here in Brunei.
"Our air miles
conversion programme has always been a strong performer
and this partnership will continue to strengthen our
commitment to rewarding our customers with more
benefits. I look forward to deepening our partnership
with Singapore Airlines to benefit both our clients."
|
Meanwhile, Mr Lim said "We are very
pleased to welcome onboard HSBC Brunei as the 10th market for HSBC
for our KrisFlyer programme. We are positive that this partnership
will be beneficial for both parties as we expand our membership
database to include HSBC
Brunei's clientele, giving added
value to both KrisFlyer members and HSBC cardholders."
Being the first bank in Brunei to
introduce the Air Miles Conversion Programme, HSBC expects more
positive growth together with Singapore Airlines.
The new signing will enable HSBC
customers to continue to redeem their credit card Reward Points for
KrisFlyer Miles at an extremely competitive conversion rate, where
every B$2 spent on a HSBC credit card is equivalent to one air mile.
The accumulated air miles can then be used to claim for free air
flights and upgrades once enough points have been accumulated.
To be eligible, HSBC cardholders
must first enroll as a KrisFlyer member at krisflyer.com before
converting their Reward points to KrisFlyer miles and cardholders
will be able to redeem their points through HSBC's call centre at
2252252 or through online@HSBC at www.hsbc.com.bn or simply by
visiting their nearest branch.
