Fugitive On The Run

Bandar Seri Begawan - Police are on the hunt for a fugitive on the run after he escaped from police detention on January 16.

The Bruneian man, Khairul bin Hj Dagang, in his 40s is believed to have committed several criminal offences in the country but the police have urged the public not to panic as they have categorised him as harmless.

The fugitive escaped while being taken to the Sengkurong Police Station. The police believe he is still in the country. He is five feet and two inches tall, heavily built, with long hair and dark skin. He also sports a Chinese tattoo on his arm.

The police are seeking help from members of the public on the whereabouts of the fugitive and should call the Sengkurong Police Station at 2661334 or 993 if they have any information. At press time, the fugitive continued to remain at large and efforts are under way to track him down.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
